About the Author – Don Bell has over 30 years of experience working in education, media and technology. He has worked as a special education teacher, computer trainer, educational software marketeer, and most recently as a web learning consultant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
In the early 1990s he started working on developing games to teach kids about personal finance. In 2011 he developed a money quiz card game based on the Jump$tart Coalition’s National Standards for K-12 Personal Finance Education. In 2012-2014 he converted the game into a book format. His aim is to provide parents, grandparents, home school educators, teachers, tutors and mentors with fun ways to teach teens financial literacy. He lives in Troy, NY, with his wife and editor, Diane.
About the Illustrator/Cartoonist – Randy Rumpf is a cartoonist, illustrator and graphic designer. He has over 35 years of experience in the visual arts field. He was a designer and illustrator for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, for 15 years and started his own studio, The Design Works, in 1989. His projects have covered a wide spectrum of creative visuals in that expanse of time. Randy has illustrated everything from children’s books to corporate and not-for-profit publications. He has done stage set design and implementation for several Young Actors Guild musical presentations. He has never lost his love for the creative process. One of the biggest excitements in his life remains a blank sheet of good drawing paper.
